Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the FitDash app and fitdash.app collect, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Summary

The camera stays on your iPhone. FitDash uses the front camera to track your body position while you play. This processing happens on your device. We do not record, store or upload camera images or video, and we do not create a face or body profile of you.

  • We collect limited app usage and diagnostic data to keep FitDash working and to improve it.
  • We do not sell your personal data, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • Apple processes all payments. We never see your card details.

Who we are

FitDash is published by FitDash LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("FitDash", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at contact@fitdash.app.

Camera and body tracking

FitDash asks for permission to use the camera. If you allow it, the app reads camera frames in real time to estimate the position of your body (for example, your head, shoulders, hips and feet) so it can detect moves such as a jump, squat, lean or running in place.

  • On-device only. Camera frames and the body position data taken from them are processed in memory on your iPhone, and are discarded as soon as each frame is used.
  • Not stored or sent. We do not save photos or video, and we do not send camera frames or body position data to our servers or to third parties.
  • No identification. FitDash does not use face recognition, and it does not use the camera to identify you or create biometric identifiers.
  • Your choice. You can turn camera access off at any time in Settings > FitDash. The game cannot be controlled by body movement without it.

When you use AirPlay or Screen Mirroring, your iPhone sends the game screen to your TV over your local network. This is handled by Apple and your TV, not by FitDash.

Data we collect

Data you give us

  • Email address, if you join the waitlist or email support, and the content of your messages.

Data collected when you use the app

  • Gameplay data, such as levels reached, scores, quests completed and settings. This is stored on your device, and may be backed up by Apple if you use iCloud.
  • Usage data, such as app opens, session length, features used and game events (for example, a run started or a quest completed).
  • Diagnostics, such as crash logs, performance data, device model, iOS version, app version, language and region.
  • Purchase status, such as which subscription or in-app purchase is active, provided by Apple.

Usage and diagnostic data is linked to a random app identifier, not to your name. We do not collect your contacts, precise location, photos or health data.

Analytics

We use analytics to understand how FitDash is used, find bugs and improve the game. This may include:

  • Apple App Store and TestFlight analytics, which Apple shares with developers only if you agreed to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings.
  • In-app analytics and crash reporting provided by a service provider that processes the usage and diagnostic data listed above on our behalf. Camera data is never included.

We do not use analytics for advertising, and we do not use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). If we ever want to track you across other companies' apps or websites, we will first ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can limit analytics sharing in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

Subscriptions and in-app purchases

FitDash may offer optional auto-renewing subscriptions and in-app purchases. All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple Account under Apple's terms and privacy policy.

  • We do not receive or store your name, payment card or billing address from Apple.
  • We receive transaction information from Apple, such as the product purchased, the purchase date, renewal status and a transaction identifier, so we can unlock content and confirm your subscription.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How we use data

  • To run the game and save your progress (performance of our contract with you).
  • To unlock and verify purchases and subscriptions (contract).
  • To fix crashes, measure performance and improve features (our legitimate interest in a working, better game).
  • To answer support requests and send launch emails you asked for (contract and consent).
  • To comply with law and protect our rights (legal obligation and legitimate interest).

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with:

  • Service providers that host, analyze or support FitDash for us (for example, analytics, crash reporting, email and web hosting), under contracts that limit their use of the data.
  • Apple, for app distribution, payments and subscriptions.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or others.
  • A buyer or successor, if FitDash LLC is involved in a merger or sale, under the protections of this policy.

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

  • Camera frames and body position data: not retained. They are discarded on your device right after use.
  • Usage and diagnostic data: up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated.
  • Support emails and waitlist addresses: until the request is resolved or you unsubscribe, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact.
  • Purchase records: as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, including the EU, the UK and US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict some processing, and to withdraw consent. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To make a request, email contact@fitdash.app. We will reply within 30 days. You can also delete FitDash from your iPhone to remove the gameplay data stored on it. You may complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

FitDash is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it. Children should play with adult supervision.

Security

We use encryption in transit and limit access to data to the people and providers who need it. No system is fully secure, so please contact us if you see a security issue.

This website

fitdash.app does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability. If you email us from the site, we receive the information in your email.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
